The biggest 5 myths about serial killers .

The article that I would talk about is about the biggest 5 misconceptions about the serial killers behavior.
1.       All had abusive childhoods including one or all of the following types of abuse: physical, emotional or sexual.
Not all of the serial killers suffered from a bad childhood for example Ted Bundy didn’t and he did well in school
2.       Serial killers appear abnormal or stand out in both appearance and mannerisms.
The idea that the serial killers should be abnormally shaped is untrue but the people made this to make less frightening the idea of the man next door maybe is a serial killer
3.       Serial killers are able to avoid and mislead the police for a long time due to their knowledge of the police tactics
Most of the serial killers don’t have this knowledge of the police tactics but they simply keep a low profile and choose victims who will not be missed
4.       Serial killers are sexually driven men to kill due to harsh childhood and the ways society treats them.  They are insane coward who prey on the weak.
Although sex is involved in some of the serial cases, the sex on its own is not the motive.
Rather, the power and control the killer has on the victims is the real motivation. Some experts say that the lack of power in their childhood over the situations is a real significant part of their need to control their victims. Not all of the serial killers are men but the society would prefer not to believe women are capable to do such acts.  The simple fact is that serial killers sometimes go to great lengths to avoid capture and cover their tracks, such as Dahmer’s acid baths to destroy the remains of his victims, eliminates the possibility of insanity.
5.       Serial killers kill anyone who they come in contact with and spend no time selecting their victims.
Some serial killers spend a lot of time selecting their victims. Most of the serial killers’ targets are easy targets, because of sexual preferences or they resemble something from their past, because if they kill random people the greater the chance to kill a prominent member of society is increased. This will attract the authority faster more than killing a homeless person or a prostitute; the sooner the police get involved will make his work harder.
